Heathrow terror suspect did not pose risk to flight
Police have said a terror suspect arrested at Heathrow Airport did not pose any risk to the flight.
A 19-year-old man was arrested last Thursday, as he got off a plane from Jordan, on suspicion of preparing for acts of terrorism.
On Saturday, a district judge granted officers extra time to question the suspect, from Coventry, who could remain in custody until Thursday.
In a statement,West Midlands counter terrorism unit said that the arrest was ‘pre-planned and intelligence led’ but that the suspect did not pose any risk to the flight.
