Heathrow tube trains suspended
There will be no London Underground trains to Heathrow this morning, with the Piccadilly Line being closed after a fatal stabbing last night.
According to the BBC News website, an 18-year-old was stabbed to death at Hounslow West station last night, with two men later being arrested nearby.
A spokesman for London Underground is quoted as saying: “Due to a police investigation, there will be no tube trains to Heathrow this morning. Travellers should try to find an alternative way to get to the airport.
“We are trying to get some emergency coaches to run from Hounslow Central but there will not be enough and they cannot rely on them to get them to their flights on time.”
British Transport police have reportedly warned London Underground that the line could be closed until 13.00.
