Heathrow tweets reassurance after smoke spotted at airport
Heathrow Airport had to reassure passengers after a nearby fire sent huge plumes of smoke into the site.
About 35 firefighters tackled the blaze at The Common in West Drayton where a unit and a fork lift truck were damaged yesterday.
While the London Fire Brigade and Heathrow Airport tweeted to tell passengers that the fire was not at the airport or affecting services.
Firefighters spent about two hours getting the fire under control.
