Heatwave warning for Spain
A warning has been issued for most of Spain after temperatures soared to more than 40 degrees Celsius.
Many areas will experience severe storms this week, with heavy hail in mountainous areas.
High temperatures in the south are expected to trigger heavy thunderstorms.
Temperatures last weekend reached 44 degrees near Cordoba airport and in Andalucia temperatures reached 42 degrees.
Similar temperatures are expected next weekend.
Visitors are being advised to be extra vigilant for fires, to stay out of the sun where possible and to drink plenty of water.
