Hilton secures tie-up with Active Hotels
Hilton has signed a deal to distribute its hotels through online reservations company Active Hotels.
The product will go live in the UK and France in November with the Spanish, German and Italian markets following next year.
Hilton International commercial operations president Jurgen Fischer said: “Expansion of the distribution network remain a key focus for Hilton and strong partnerships are the key to success in this area.
“Active Hotels has a phenomenal reach among the leisure and business market and we are delighted to announce a partnership that will enable wider access to Hilton’s best deals and extensive inventory.”
Active Hotels, which is owned by Priceline Europe, currently offers 11,000 European properties.
Priceline Europe chief executive Andrew Phillipps described the Hilton deal as a “landmark achievement.”
