Hogg Robinson bolsters US division
Hogg Robinson has strengthened its position in the US with the acquisition of Robustelli World Travel.
The move follows the last year’s purchase of Sea Gate Travel. The management teams of the two companies will merge to form a joint US operation.
Hogg Robinson said further announcements surrounding its North American operation “would follow in due course.”
Connecticut-based Robustelli, until recently a BCD/World Travel affiliate, has a strong presence in meeting and event planning and in sports travel management.
Robustelli chief executive Paul Salvatore said: “Hogg Robinson is a respected company with exceptional global capabilities. The stability of its wholly-owned global network was a major factor as we anticipate our clients’ future needs.”
Hogg Robinson chief executive David Ratcliffe said Robustelli’s “client focused approach, international experience and local knowledge” will bring sigificant strenth to the business.
“The coming together of Robustelli is the start of an exciting expansion programme in North America where we anticipate making further announcements in due course,” he said.
