Holiday Inn opens in Melaka

MELAKA – The recently opened Holiday Inn Melaka, in Malaysia’s Historical City of Melaka, is the first new international hotel here in 10 years.

The RM68 million (US$20million) hotel in Bandar Hilir overlooks the Straits of Melaka and is within walking distance to the city’s historic attractions such as The Stadhuys and Jonker Street, famed for its heritage houses and antique shops.

The four-star hotel, managed by InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, has 275 guest rooms including four floors of executive club rooms, 10 suites and a presidential suite.
