A worldwide hotel booking engine is to be introduced by long haul flight and travel specialist The Holiday Team early in the new year.
The new tool, due go live in January, will offer thousands of properties to book online.
As with flights all hotels will be offered at net rates allowing agents to set their own commission.
The new hotel booking engine is the next step in The Holiday Team’s growth plan and follows the start of a hotel booking offer earlier this year.
The Southall Travel-owned company has set itself an objective to gain a dominant share of the seat-only market next year.
Sales director Rajan Sawhney said: “We have seen business grow at a strong pace since last year and we are ahead of plan.
“We are purely focused on selling through the UK travel trade and since last year we have built a strong sales team to cover all parts of the UK.
“Adding the new hotel power search means agents can use us to book complete holiday arrangements.”
He added: “We are now working with Advantage, Hayes Travel, TTA, Worldchoice and Freedom Travel Group.
“More agents are booking with us on the basis that we are a newer player in the market which is giving agents easy online access to the lowest worldwide flight and hotel prices at net rates giving their members the ability to set their own commission.”
The Holiday Team will continue to assist agents with sales and marketing advice and support and, on a selective basis, the company will offer financial support for marketing to agencies which have the potential to grow the business.
