Holland America Line launches Alaska cruise glacier guarantee

Holland America Line launches Alaska cruise glacier guarantee

Thursday, 02 May, 2024 0

Holland America Line has launched a new Glacier Guarantee – ensuring that guests will see at least one glacier on every Alaska cruise itinerary.

Their new guarantee, offered on departures until September 2025, gifts a future cruise credit equal to 15% of their cruise fare if HAL cannot deliver on the promise.

Holland America Line has been exploring Alaska for more than 75 years, longer than any other cruise line.

Every Alaska departure includes a visit to the state’s iconic glaciers, providing a rotating 360-degree view.

As well as Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve it offers visits to College Fjord, Dawes Glacier, Hubbard Glacier and the Tracy Arm Fjord’s Twin Sawyer Glaciers.

Holland America Line has also introduced ‘Glacier Day’ on its Alaska cruises as part of its ‘We Love Alaska’ onboard experience.

‘Glacier Day’ includes sighting times, scenic commentary, presentations, viewing stations, and photo opportunities.

Themed programming includes Dutch pea soup on deck, glacial ice cocktails and talks by Glacier Bay National Park service rangers.

Kacy Cole, CMO at Holland America Line, said: “Our new Glacier Guarantee underlines our confidence in providing sightings on our Alaska cruises and Cruisetours.

In 2024 and 2025, Alaska cruises and cruisetours are operated on HAL ships Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Westerdam and Zaandam.

In addition to seven-day itineraries, guests can take longer 14-day voyages and a 28-Day Alaska Arctic Circle Solstice cruise.

The Glacier guarantee is valid on all Alaska cruises and cruisetours – except select Yukon cruisetours – that feature a three-day cruise experience.
