Hong Kong Airlines adds more routes to codeshare agreement with Etihad

Tuesday, 18 Nov, 2016 0
Hong Kong Airlines is expanding its codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways to improve cross connections between Australasia, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.

An additional nine codeshare routes have been announced with HK Airlines adding its HX code to Etihad flights from Abu Dhabi to Paris, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Manchester, Milan, Munich, New York and Zurich.

Etihad will also add HK Airlines’ Hong Kong-Auckland flight to its network.

"We are glad to strengthen the partnership with Etihad Airways through a codeshare expansion. There is an increasingly strong demand in Asia for travel to the GCC region, Europe and the Americas. On the other hand, the visitors from the GCC region and even Europe will also enjoy convenient connections via Hong Kong to Auckland," said Li Dianchun, Hong Kong Airlines chief commercial officer.

"We have no doubt the enhanced connectivity will provide a wider range of choices while experiencing the world-class services and products offered by both airlines."

Etihad Airways and Hong Kong Airlines first established their codeshare pact in December 2014 and expanded further in June 2015.
