To celebrate the Hong Kong Tourism Board’s (HKTB) new mega event, Culture & Heritage Celebration, which will run from 20 April – 7 May, the HKTB and Virgin Atlantic (VS) promoted the event to travel agents in the Sydney CBD, Sydney’s northern and eastern suburbs, by hand-delivering Chinese sweet buns.
This mega event will showcase four traditional festivals, namely the Birthdays of Tin Hau, the Lord Buddha and Tam Kung, and the Cheung Chau Bun Festival, focusing on Hong Kong’s unique culture and heritage. The agent ‘Culture & Heritage Celebration’ blitz, run over two days, commenced yesterday (15 March) in Sydney’s CBD and continued today.
The HKTB and VS staff were driven round Sydney in VS’s ‘London cab’. Pictured from Left to Right are: Jason Sacriz, Marketing Services Executive, HKTB and Roni Trieu, Sales Executive, VS, dressed in traditional outfits they handed out ‘Culture & Heritage Celebration’ sweet buns to the trade
