Hong Kong Disneyland names new MD
Hong Kong Disneyland has appointed Michael Moriarty as new Managing Director of the theme park resort.
He replaces Stephanie Young later in December, who is moving into a new role as President of Consumer Products, Games and Publishing.
Moriarty was most recently at Hasbro in Hong Kong where he served as Managing Director of Hasbro Far East and Senior Vice president of Global Sourcing.
He held leadership positions during 14 years at Walt Disney Co, including at Walt Disney World Resort, Walt Disney Imagineering and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort as CFO from 2009 to 2014.
"This appointment comes at an exciting time as the resort launches its 15th anniversary celebration. With Michael’s extensive experience in finance, commercial strategy and operations, along with his knowledge of the Hong Kong Market the resort will continue to be well positioned to help drive the recovery in Hong Kong," said Jill Estorino, President and Managing Director, Disney Parks International.
