Hong Kong, Singapore team up to promote quarantine-free travel
The tourism boards of Hong Kong and Singapore have joined hands to help boost tourism flows ahead of the launch of the Hong Kong-Singapore air travel bubble next week.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Singapore Tourism Board will carry out joint promotional activities including joint social media content.
Both will highlight in-destination activities and events taking place over the coming weeks.
These include the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival, and Gardens by the Bay’s Christmas Wonderland in Singapore.
Their respective health and safety protocols will be promoted which are HK’s Anti-epidemic Hygiene Measures Certification Scheme, and SG Clean of Singapore.
"It is a hugely important moment that shows the world that safe international travel is possible, and paves the way for us to bring tourist flights to and from other markets," said HKTB executive director Dane Cheng.
The Hong Kong-Singapore ATB (Air Travel Bubble) starts on 22 November offering quarantine-free access for travellers.
The first few flights out of both cities will offer special in-flight menus showcasing local culinary specialties.
