Honk, honk if you dare
DHAKA: Police in Bangladesh have cracked down on motorists for excessive use of their car horns on a VIP road leading to the international airport.
The ban on honking was imposed on February 22 and police anti-honking squads pounced immediately.
Police said a total of 446 cases were filed and fines imposed against the drivers of offending vehicles on the first day of the no-honking crackdown.
Sources said the horn free road would gradually be extended up to Zia International Airport. Honking is also to be banned around schools, colleges and hospitals. ??
