Hoseasons expands villas programme
Hoseasons has added 10% more capacity to a second edition Villas with Pools programme after claiming soaring demand.
The operator said sales were running at more than four times the volumes at this time in 2006, the first year of the company’s European Villas venture.
Increased numbers of properties in France, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus have been added to give a range of more than 670 properties.
Jane Sheppard, who oversees Hoseasons’ Villas programme, said strong early demand had led the operator to publish an expanded second edition of the brochure.
She said: “After our launch year in 2006, we expected to be busier this year, but the level of demand has been beyond our expectations.
“The feedback we are getting from travel agents suggests that the combination of our quality product and competitive pricing, coupled with the strength of the Hoseasons brand in the high street, has led to a huge uptake
“At the end of December, bookings were more than four times the level 12 months ago. We are also seeing more savvy consumers realise that the best deals on travel, such as low-cost airline routes and popular ferry crossings are available now rather than later in the year, which is encouraging early booking.”
Hoseasons business development director Pali Badwal said: “With the average booking value in 2006 through travel agents a healthy £1,500, the Hoseasons Villas programme offers a real opportunity for the travel trade.
“With accommodation-only pricing – giving agents the chance to sell other elements of the holiday as well – and good commission levels, coupled with the product being promoted within our new TV commercial, we are not surprised that our sales execs are receiving tremendous feedback about our newest product.”
