Hotel platform RedDoorz hit by data breach
Budget hotel site RedDoorz has warned customers of a data breach which may have compromised customers’ personal information.
It is staying tight-lipped on the breach while it investigates the hack.
However it has ‘reason to believe data has been compromised.’
This may include customer names, addresses, booking details and phone numbers.
At present it doesn’t believe customers’ financial data has been accessed.
"It appears financial information, such as masked credit card information or passwords, remains secure to the best of our knowledge," it said in a customer email seen by TravelMole.
As an ‘added precautionary measure’ customers are encouraged to change their password.
"We are conducting a thorough review of all our IT systems and protection. So far, we have changed all system access keys and access credentials, and activated multilayer authentication wherever it was possible," RedDoorz said.
"Data privacy is something we take very seriously at RedDoorz and we have implemented the necessary security measures to ensure all our customers’ personal data remains secured."
