Hotel price boost for Ibiza
Ibiza has seen hotel prices rise by 57% as security fears turned tourists back to safer holiday options.
The annual Hotel Price Index Report shows that UK hotel prices fell in the first half of the year although the Royal Wedding saw a boost in London and home county room rates.
South Africa hotel prices were down following the World Cup in 2010 while New Zealand prices were up 14% up ahead of the rugby World Cup.
Dramatic price falls were seen as civil unrest broke out in Egypt with room rates down 25%.
Overall the report shows that hotel prices are only slightly up since 2004, seven years ago.
