HotelPlanner SPAC partner issues clarification
Astrea Acquisition Corp, the publicly-traded SPAC (special purpose acquisition company) combining with HotelPlanner.com and Reservations.com went public to clear up confusion over some mistaken identity.
Astrea Acquisition Corp stated it is ‘not the same company as Astra Space Inc which had some unfortunate press this week.’
That unfortunate press involved lost satellites from a rocket built by Astra Space. This led to Astrea issuing a release to clarify the confusion.
It also pushed the proposed SPAC combination of Astrea with HotelPlanner.com and Reservations.com, a premier online travel agency.
The three companies announced plans to merge last year.
The shareholders’ meeting is to take place on February 15.
