HotelPlanner teams up with English soccer team
Group booking platform HotelPlanner is the latest US company to team up in partnership with an English pro soccer team.
HotelPlanner has signed a commercial deal to become the official online travel partner for Queen Park Rangers Football Club for the current 2015/2016 season.
As the club’s preferred online travel partner HotelPlanner will take care of all the team’s travel accommodation needs during the season.
The partnership involves social media campaigns offering prizes, hotel vouchers and other travel experiences to actively engage QPR’s fan base.
HotelPlanner will also be featured on the team’s website providing accommodation packages for fans for away games along with general vacations and business trips.
"HotelPlanner is extremely proud to partner with a prominent English football club such as QPR and are looking forward to forging a long-term working relationship that saves both the team and the fans money on their hotels when travelling," said Hotel{lanner co-founder and CEO Tim Hentschell.
QPR, based in west London, is owned by Tony Fernandes, CEO and co-founder of low cost carrier AirAsia Group.
