Hotels.com app integrates with Uber

Online booking site Hotels.com has partnered with ride haling app Uber, offering users the option to book a ride via the Hotels.com mobile app.

The Uber booking function pops up on the day of check-in for guests who can hail a car with a single tap from the app’s interface.

When activated, the current location and the hotel address are then automatically saved in the Uber app.

The service is currently available to Android users in 30 languages.

"At Hotels.com we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of mobile technology developments in the travel industry, so being one of the first OTAs to offer this Uber service is fantastic news," said Dan Craig, senior director of mobile for Hotels.com.

Uber recently enhanced its partnership with Hilton Worldwide which similarly allows users to access Uber via the HHonors mobile app.

Intercontinental Hotels’ IHG Rewards Club members can also request an Uber pickup through the IHG app, which rolled out earlier this year.
