House of Lords to debate UK tourism
The growth of the UK tourism industry will be a subject of debate in the House of Lords on Thursday.
The Labour Party’s Lord Pendry will open the debate calling attention to opportunities for tourism growth and the sector’s greater contribution to all parts of the economy.
Lord Carter of Barnes will speak on behalf of the Government.
Other members scheduled to take part include Earl of Sandwich (Crossbench), a writer and researcher on international development, Baroness Valentine (Crossbench), chief executive of London First and Lord Howard of Rising (Conservative); spokesperson for Culture, Media and Sport.
The House will sit at 11am for questions and the debate will follow.
