Hull cruise terminal plan moves forward
Hull’s proposed £73m cruise terminal project has taken another small step forward. Hull City Council appointed Dutch firm Royal Haskoning DHV to manage planning and environmental issues.
The six-figure contract includes the design an electricity sub-station for shore power and impact reports relating to transport links and access, water quality and other environmental impacts.
"Hull needs a dedicated cruise facility. It would be a huge boost to our plans to increase tourism and create new jobs," says City Council leader Daren Hale.
