Hurricane protection programs blowing in the wind
Expedia.com became the latest entrant in the hurricane protection policy field, which also has included Club Med, Sandals and SuperClubs.
Expedia launched a “Hassle-free Hurricane Promise.”
The company will provide its customers around-the-clock news and information about hurricanes.
If customers need to cancel or change plans for destinations affected by a hurricane, cancellation fees will be offered.
Expedia says it will lobby its travel partners to do the same.
The program is geared for any North American destinations, including Mexico and the Caribbean.
