Hurtigruten appoints new Americas president
Expedition line Hurtigruten has named William Harber as president for the Americas.
Harbet relocates from Hong Kong where he has been leading the line’s Asia Pacific business as president.
Harber replaces Gordon Dirker who set up Hurtigruten’s Americas HQ in Seattle.
"We are strongly committed to offering the Americas the world’s safest, greenest and most adventurous expedition voyages. I am confident William Harber is the right person to establish our premium offering as a first choice of adventure travel for the modern American explorer," said Hurtigruten CEO Daniel Skjeldam.
Responsible for the US, Canada, Central and South America markets, Harber is tasked with generating sales growth and profitability, brand positioning, marketing, communication and travel trade relations.
"I’m honored Hurtigruten has tapped me for this position and trust the many experiences I’ve gained in Asia and in my career in the cruise industry will serve me well in the role," Harber said.
Harber’s replacement as Asia-Pacific president will be announced at a later date, the line said.
