HWT signs deal with Octopus Travel
Harvey World Travel has appointed Octopus Travel as a preferred supplier.
Under the agreement, Octopus will provide bespoke services, developed in partnership with HWT, including management information reports that will enable the company to track the numbers of reservations made online.
It will also allow HWT to monitor each of its branches’ progress with the development of a league table, offering its staff further incentives.
Based on the league table results, HWT can reward and troubleshoot in a bid to improve the performances of its branches.
In addition, Octopus will offers HWT a co-branded PC screen especially designed for public view.
“We are delighted to be formalising our relationship with Octopus Travel,” said John Donnelly, HWT managing director.
“We are keen to partner with like-minded companies, as we demonstrated in our alliance announcement with Virgin Holidays, and the synergy between HWT and Octopus is fantastic.”
Patrick Lukan, UK country manager for Octopus’ parent Cendant Corporation, said Octopus also operates an efficient commission process offering HWT and its additional travel agents instant commission.
“Over £20million of travel agents’ commission goes unclaimed each year and our commission system ensures that agents receive their fee instantaneously.”
