Hyatt Centric brand checking into Malaysia
Hyatt Hotels Corp is to debut the Centric brand in Malaysia.
A Hyatt affiliate has sealed a deal with owner Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad Group to introduce Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu.
Situated in the heart of KK, the hotel will feature an all-day lounge and restaurant, meeting space, a rooftop swimming pool and fitness centre.
It is located close to the city’s commercial district and within strolling distance of Jesselton Point pier offering easy access to offshore islands.
"With its prime location in Malaysia’s gateway city to Sabah and Borneo, Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu will cater to adventurous guests looking to discover the area’s culture, cuisine and surrounding national parks," said David Udell, Hyatt group president, Asia-Pacific.
Japanese architect Kengo Kuma has been commissioned as interior designer which will incorporate local materials and design features reflecting the local landscape.
It becomes the second Hyatt group hotel in Sabah.
