I name this ship….
Cunard’s latest ship, the 92,000-tonne Queen Elizabeth, sets off on its 13-day maiden voyage today after being officially named by the Queen.
After the naming ceremony in Southampton dock, the Queen was taken on a tour of the ship and shown a portrait of herself by artist Isobel Peachey.
Its first cruise has been a sell-out and on January 5 the ship will set sail on a world cruise, including stops at 38 ports in 23 countries.
