Iberia launching daily Newark flights
Iberia strengthens its presence in New York with a new daily flight to Newark Liberty International Airport
Flag carrier Iberia is boosting service to the New York region with a new daily flight from Madrid to Newark Liberty International Airport.
The route kicks off at the start of the summer season on March 29, 2026.
It complements the two daily frequencies to nearby New York JFK.
During the 2026 summer season, Iberia will offer more than 350,000 seats between Madrid and the New York area representing 40% more than in 2025.
“The addition of Newark not only strengthens our presence in New York with a third daily frequency but also expands options for our customers by offering greater flexibility in schedules and fares,” said María Jesús López Solás, Iberia’s Chief Commercial, Network Development and Alliances Officer.
Iberia serves ten destinations in the United States and this year offered nearly two million seats between Spain and the US and an average of 150 weekly flights.
This winter season, the Spanish airline will operate two daily flights to New York and Miami; up to two daily flights to Boston and Puerto Rico.
It flies three times a week to Washington DC, which has evolved from a summer-only route to year-round service.
Iberia also maintains daily flights to Chicago, four weekly flights to Dallas Fort Worth and Orlando, and three to Los Angeles.
San Francisco continues as a summer route with three weekly flights from May to September.
Iberia’s US flight network supports the North Atlantic joint business agreement Iberia has with American Airlines, British Airways, and Finnair.
The Newark service will be operated by the Airbus A321XLR.
Iberia was the launch airline for this model, which enables long-haul destinations to be served with a single-aisle aircraft.
