iCoupon debuts in North America with Air Canada
UK based digital voucher platform iCoupon is coming to North America.
It secured a partnership with Air Canada which will see the platform implemented in over 100 airports across the US and Canada.
It aids Air Canada’s requirement to provide stress-free service to their passengers in the event of delays.
iCoupon’s digital service eliminates physical distribution of paper compensation vouchers or downloading.
It activates what is already in the passengers’ hand – the boarding pass.
It enables airlines, airports and retailers to reduce wastage and lower their carbon footprint.
Air Canada carries more than 50 million passengers annually and is the largest airline in the Canada-US transborder market.
The new deal means that airport retailers will now deploy iCoupon’s solution to their stores, resulting in at least 28 airlines activating across North America immediately.
The iCoupon solution is now active in over 90% of European airlines.
Richard Bye, CEO of iCoupon, said: “The partnership with Air Canada is a fantastic step and paves the way for our operations to expand into North America,”
“If offers North America its first truly end-to-end digital solution for disruption vouchering.”
