IHG bringing new Holiday Inn to Nepal
IHG Hotels & Resorts is introducing a new Nepal hotel.
It signed a management agreement with Club Chaulani Ltd. to develop the 115-key Holiday Inn Dhangadhi.
It is scheduled to open in Q1 2028.
Holiday Inn Dhangadhi will be located in the heart of the city within a mixed-use development, approximately 8.5 kilometres from Dhangadhi Airport.
Near the India–Nepal border, the hotel is well placed to serve business travellers, government officials, and transit guests, while also catering to leisure travellers visiting key regional attractions such as Shuklaphanta National Park, Ghodaghodi Lake, and Shivpuri Temple.
The hotel will house four food and beverage outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant, a pool bar, and a specialty restaurant.
For meetings and events, the hotel will offer versatile function spaces and a ballroom.
There will also be a fully equipped fitness centre and a swimming pool.
Sudeep Jain, MD, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “Dhangadhi represents an emerging hospitality market and the signing reflects our confidence in the city’s growth potential.“
“The hotel will cater precisely to this growth, serving both the rising domestic travel segment and regional business traffic, ensuring strong returns for our partners at Club Chaulani.”
IHG currently has 51 hotels operating across six brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express.
There is a pipeline of 80 hotels due to open in the next 3-5 years.
