IHG inks deals for three new hotels in Singapore
InterContinental Group has announced simultaneous plans for three new hotels in Singapore.
It includes the first Hotel Indigo for the city state, a second five-star InterContinental Singapore earmarked for Robertson Quay, and the largest Holiday Inn Express in Singapore.
A 225-room InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay is slated to open in 2016 and will feature a mixed use site of restaurants, bars and shopping.
A 131-room Hotel Indigo property planned for the heritage district of Joo Chiat, and an adjacent Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong will also open in 2016.
Referring to the Hotel Indigo project, IHG senior vice president, Asia, Middle East and Africa, Clarence Tan said: "We will design the hotel to bring out the neighbourhood story in true Hotel Indigo fashion."
"Opening our third Holiday Inn Express alongside it means we are able to help our value-conscious guests experience the authentic ethnic cultures of Singapore from a whole new part of the city." he added.
