IHG launches web store on Ctrip
InterContinental Hotels Group is tapping the reach of travel platform Ctrip to boost business as the China travel market begins its recovery.
It launched the IHG Flagship Store on Ctrip platforms, which offers Ctrip’s 300 million members in Greater China the opportunity to register with the IHG Rewards Club.
By doing so, they can get access to exclusive membership offers and benefits and book stays at 470 IHG hotels across Greater China.
"We are delighted to work with IHG Group, as part of this win-win collaboration further enriching the travel experience for our customers," said Ray Chen, Trip.com Group’s CEO of accommodation business.
Ctrip members at Diamond or higher status will receive a direct status match for the IHG Rewards Club when they register at the IHG Flagship Store.
According to IHG Greater China CEO Jolyon Bulley, there are ‘early signs of lodging demand returning in China.’
