IHG names new regional chief commercial officer

InterContinental Hotels Group has named Lara Hernandez as chief commercial officer for Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) region.
 
Based at IHG’s regional head office in Singapore, Hernandez oversees a 120-strong team across all commercial functions including brand management, loyalty, sales, marketing, distribution channels and revenue management.
 
She was most recently vice president, sales & distribution at IHG in the AMEA region and held key leadership roles in the Americas for IHG including vice president of digital, loyalty & partner marketing and director of business development & hotel integration.
 
IHG operates 271 hotels across six of its brands in the AMEA region with an additional 149 hotels in development and due to open in the next three to five years.
