IHG signs two Holiday Inn hotels in Phuket
InterContinental Hotels Group has inked an agreement for new two hotels in island hotspot Phuket.
Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands are coming to mixed-use development The Beach Plaza in Phuket’s Kata Beach.
Holiday Inn Phuket Kata Beach will feature 134 rooms, various dining options, meeting space, a swimming pool and gym.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phuket Kata Beach adds another 135 rooms and also features the brand’s signature Great Room.
"It’s fantastic to continue the expansion of our Holiday Inn brand family in Thailand with the addition of these two new properties, and especially to partner with K.W. Group who have decades of hospitality experience in Phuket," said Serena Lim, Vice President of Development for IHG, South East Asia & Korea.
IHG says it is on track to almost double its portfolio size across Thailand within the next three to five years.
It has 19 Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brand hotels open in Thailand, with another 16 in the development pipeline.
