IHG’s KImpton brand coming to Bangkok
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the upcoming debut of the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand in Bangkok.
Slated to open in 2020, the new-build Kimpton Bangkok will feature 349 rooms including 124 serviced residences.
Kimpton Bangkok will form part of Sindhorn Village, a 22-acre mixed-use development of bespoke dining and retail outlets nestling beside Lumpini Park.
"We are delighted to partner with IHG to bring this new and exciting boutique hotel concept to Thailand, and look forward to welcoming guests when we open our doors in 2020," said Chalaluck Bunnag, managing director of development partner Siam Sindhorn.
The property will be the first Kimpton hotel in Thailand and the second in Southeast Asia.
The company also announced entry into Spain with the planned 2019 opening of the 156-room Kimpton Barcelona.
