IIPT sends congratulations and announces events
IIPT’s Australia Chapter has sent congratulations, via Shan Ali of Grameen Bank Australia representative to this year’s Nobel Peace Prize winner, Professor Muhammad Yunus, founder of the Grameen Bank and its micro – loan scheme to the poor.
Shan was a speaker at the IIPT Australia 2003 Conference and IIPT Founder and President Louis D’Amore joined in sending congratulations to Dr Yunus.
The Grameen Bank scheme started in Bangladesh in the 1970s and it has since been adopted in over 100 countries, with 97% of the loans, interestingly made to women.
IIPT also released details of forthcoming events as follows: –
