Imagine Dragons will rock Southwest flight at 35,000 feet
Grammy award winning band Imagine Dragons will perform a mid-air concert for a few lucky flyers after announcing a partnership with Southwest Airlines.
The band will perform the ‘Live at 35’ concert at 35,000 feet on a February 24 flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta.
Southwest is launching a nationwide sweepstake to offer one winner and three friends the chance to be at the mile-high musical event.
In addition the winner will also get tickets for conventional concerts on the ground in Las Vegas and Atlanta.
The ‘Live at 35′ event is part of Imagine Dragons’ Ultimate Destination Dragons tour showcasing the latest album ‘Smoke + Mirrors’ due for general release on February 17.
"We can think of no better way to unveil our new album than to travel together with our fans at 35,000 feet, and to play in the same clubs where we started this journey," a band statement said.
The Southwest Airlines’ sweepstakes runs from February 3 through February 16.
"Beyond their obvious successes right now, they’re just good guys and their values align with Southwest’s values. We’re about the people, and making memorable experiences for our customers," said Southwest spokeswoman Anne Murray.
