Independence Day vacation figures rise
AAA – The Auto Club Group, forecasts 41.9 million Americans will travel this Independence Day, the highest figure in eight years.
The number of people traveling 50 miles or more from home during the holiday period of July 1 to July 5 is up 0.7% on last year.
AAA – The Auto Club Group said the figured showed confidence in the economy is returning.
Increased levels of income, improved jobs market and lower gas prices mean average Americans have more spare money.
