Indonesia hikes visa fees

Thursday, 10 Jul, 2014 0

Indonesia has bumped up its visa arrival fees – the cost of a 30-day visa for foreigners rising from US$25 to US$35 from July 1.

It will now cost a family of four arriving in Bali US$140 for their visas – more than the cost of a one-way airfare from Australia in some cases.

Any visitor over-staying their visa will also be hit harder – with a daily fine of Rp 300,000 (US$26).
