Cruise lines are preparing special deals for consumers to coincide with the second annual National Cruise Week to be held on September 20-27.
Offers include free cabin upgrades, onboard cash vouchers and up to 50% off luxury trips and up to 25% off family trips.
National Cruise Week will see the release of the latest trends in cruise travel and celebrate travel by sea.
Passenger Shipping Association director Bill Gibbons said: “With National Cruise Week just around the corner, we are very excited as 2009 promises to be even bigger and better than last year.
“This initiative, now in its second year, aims to bring cruising to more travellers and showcase what a holiday at sea has to offer.
“There are lots of amazing cruise offers so now really is the time for both new and loyal cruisers to discover more about cruising and book a trip of a lifetime.”
