Industry shares enjoy positive session

It was a very positive session for travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s main equity indices rallied.

 

The FTSE 100 index gained 32.5 points to end the day at 4491.1, while the FTSE 250 put on 29.9 points and closed at 6130.6.

 

While there were no drastic movements among industry stocks, several made significant gains: British Airways added 4.5p to close at 263.25p; Hilton added gained 4.75p to 266.5p; and TBI jumped 2p to 64p.
