Interim Minister for Tourism says Fiji arrivals now down to 14%
With Fiji only receiving half of the numbers of tourists it received last year Bernadette Ganilau, Fiji’s Interim Minister for Tourism [pictured right with the Interim Prime Minister and Pacific Blue and Virgin Blue’s Gary Manuel] told The Mole that this will not affect the marketing done by the FVB, tourism stakeholders and other partners in markets abroad and that Fiji was very much open for business.
She added that she was glad that other stakeholders and private companies were trying hard to bring back the numbers of tourists to Fiji even though the country was going through difficult times.
She added that Fiji is still looking at the positive side of things and we are working with all stakeholders on addition that she was fighting hard to get increased funding for the FVB.
The Minister and the Interim Prime Minister visited BFTE, meeting with the industry recently walking around the booths located at the Denarau Golf and Racket Club.
