International tourists are flocking back to NYC
New York expects a big recovery in international visitation this year.
NYC & Company projects 207% more international visitors compared to 2021 compared to 2021. It expects 8.3 million foreign tourists by the end of 2022, up from2.7 million last year
Domestic tourism is also resurging, with an estimated 48.2 million this year.
Overall, NYC is targeting 56 million visitors in 2022. That equates to a 70% rise on 2021.
