Ireland adds appeal for oldies

Summer discounts for holidaymakers aged more than 66 are being offered in an attempt to lure travellers to Ireland.
 
The Silver Surfers Summer Savings campaign includes two for one offers on attractions and meals, free rail travel and discounts on air and ferry travel.
 
The offers are available for travel until August 31. 
 
Accommodation in the Republic of Ireland starts at €30 (approx £26) per person per night and from £27 per person per night in Northern Ireland, with further discounts on hostels and self-catering options. 
 
Aer Arann and Fastnet Line are both offering 20% discounts on travel to Ireland.
 
Two for one discounts on visitor attractions and tours include Dublin Zoo, Belfast‘s Titanic Boat Tour, Locke’s Distillery Museum in Co. Westmeath, Foynes Flying Boat Museum in Limerick, Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre and Castle Ward in Co. Down. 
 
There are 27 golf courses and 13 racecourses offering two for one entry.
