Irish Ferries launches 2003 brochure with discounts
Irish Ferries is extending its early bookers discount to trade bookings.
Bookings made by 28 February will receive a ten percent discount. Holidays manager, Roger Farrell told TravelMole: “We will help agents to promote this. We also operate the ten percent commission, but if someone does well for me, I will do better for them”.
Mr Farrell said the 2003 brochure should be in 90 percent of agents by 9 December. It also includes most of the free weeks at self-catering properties, and free hotel nights featured in the 2002 brochure.
Mr Farrell told TravelMole that Irish Ferries was looking to give a better service to motoring holidaymakers after they make a booking. The company has decided to issue customers with a 100-page atlas and guide, a booklet of vouchers with two-for-one offers on many of Ireland’s attractions, and a detailed route planner of how to get from the ferry port to the first night’s accommodation.
Mr Farrell said: “We undertake the route planning with some trepidation because we have 100s of B&Bs and hotels, some of which are pretty well hidden, so route planners get up to two pages long”.
According to Mr Farrell, a number of the holidays in the 2003 brochure will be less expensive than they were in 2002. He said that if he had reached an agreement with suppliers over fixing prices at 2002 levels, he had agreed to trim the margin to offer customers a cheaper deal.
Irish Ferries operates services between Holyhead and Dublin and Pembroke and Rosslare.
