Irwin Mitchell investigates illness at luxury Egypt resort
Irwin Mitchell is investigating a case of suspected e-coli illness at a five-star luxury resort in Egypt.
William and Gabrielle Dixon, from Barwell, Leicester, have instructed the law firm after they became ill after a stay at the Tia Heights hotel in Makadi Bay in June 2014.
A few days into their holiday, the couple began suffering from severe gastric symptoms including stomach cramps, diarrhoea and vomiting.
Gabrielle, 46, was diagnosed with suspected e-coli and went on to develop pneumonia.
William, 44, fell ill on the third day of the holiday with similar gastric symptoms.
Clare Pearson, a specialist travel lawyer within Irwin Mitchell’s International Personal Injury Team, claims the couple spoke to several other holidaymakers during their stay who had also suffered from illness.
"We would like to speak to anyone who may have information about the conditions at the Tia Heights hotel as it may help us with William and Gabrielle’s legal case," she said.
