Italian Cup 2007 on Sydney Harbour and you can take part.
Cellarbrations, SLAM, the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Trade Commission have joined forces to organise the inaugural ‘Italian Cup’, a unique and truly spectacular way to celebrate the New Year on Sydney Harbour.
Aimed at promoting communication, leadership and teamwork among staff, or reward clients with an afternoon on Sydney Harbour, competitor yachts will compete in the race, with crews made up of a skipper and guests.
No previous experience is required, [Hey, just like driving in Italy!] with all encouraged to participate in this fabulous even being held on 23rd January with a briefing at Cruising Yacht Club of Australia on the beautiful Rushcutters Bay foreshore the CYC, competitors will climb aboard for a full program of racing, followed by an Awards dinner hosted at the CYC.
You can express your interest by sponsoring a yacht, participating as an individual, or simply joining the Italians us for a delightful afternoon by the Harbour, with all proceeds from the event benefiting the Italian Bilingual School, the first school in Australia to provide a bilingual and bicultural education in English and Italian, empowering students for a global existence.
Competitor Packages, which include, yacht and skipper, “welcome-on-board” pack, full race program, event photography, refreshments, the Awards dinner and prizes cost $180pp.
“On Boat” Spectator Packages, which include, yacht and skipper, “welcome-on-board’ pack, refreshments and the Awards dinner, cost $120pp.
“On the Dock” Packages, which include refreshments and the Awards dinner cost $75pp.
Competitor yachts will compete in the race, with crews made up of a skipper and guests.
