Italian fashion brand hotel for Edinburgh
Edinburgh is one of the first three locations earmarked for a new range of ‘lifestyle’ hotels.
As previously reported by TravelMole, Rezidor SAS Hospitality has signed a license agreement with Italian fashion house Missoni to develop a chain of 30 hotels worldwide by 2010.
The locaton of the first three properties has now been revealed as Edinburgh in 2008, Kuwait in 2007 and Dubai also in 2008.
The 130-room Scottish property will be located on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and is being hailed as “one of the city’s most prominent hotel developments in decades”.
The hotel, due to open in the fourth quarter of 2008, will include a Bar Missoni, private dining, a spa and boardrooms.
The interior designs of all the Missoni hotels will be controlled by Italian designer Matteo Thun.
