Italy to celebrate European days of heritage
On September 29 and 30 Italy celebrates the European Days of Heritage, promoted by the European Council since 1991, during which many museums, monuments and places of art and culture will be open to the public free of charge.
Theatres, natural and historical trails, museums, movie screenings: these are some of the events organized by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage to allow everyone to visit Italy’s artistic masterpieces, including those recently opened to the public, such as the Cappellone di San Nicola in Tolentino (Macerata), wonderful example of painting from the 1300 and the Collegiata in Castiglione Olona (Varese), with the frescoes of Masolino da Panicate.
