ITEX lines up strong speaker list
ITEX, the event for independent travel agents that takes place in London next week, has a range seminars on offer that it says could help agents boost their revenue.
The event runs on June 9-11 at the Business Design Centre in Islington, north London.
The seminars, aimed at owners, managers and travel consultants from agents and operators, cover a range of topics that would appeal to independents. The programme kicks off with a presentation from Peter Reglar, vice president Advantage Travel Centres on how to boost profits.
There are also presentations by Hoseasons chief executive Richard Carrick on domestic tourism, Responsibletarvel.com founder Justin Francis on the future of the package holiday, and Ian Dockery executive publisher of Buying Business Travel, on breaking into business travel.
The seminars are free to everyone attending the event. But places are limited so it is important to register beforehand. This can be done online by printing out the form and faxing it back or over the phone by calling Catherine Craddock on 01233 655409.
Exhibitors at the event include BP Travel Services, Celebrity Cruises, Exodus Travel, Hoseasons, Hotel Connect, Octopus Travel, and VisitBritain. Taking place alongside ITEX is the Luxury Travel Show. To attend the event you can register online or turn up on the day. Agents and operators can attend the event for free, and others are charged £20. The website is www.travelshow.co.uk.
